Term 4 sees Primary 1 exploring lots of exciting learning! A lot of our learning is based around our Topic of Minibeasts followed on with Olympics for the final weeks. In Literacy we are consolidating our phonemes and continuing on with graphemes. We will progress with further blending, segmenting and exploration of common and tricky words. The children are all working really hard in writing, following their personal targets and all working towards writing a full sentence using their tools. P1 reading is going great and we will continue to develop our reading confidence as well as our ability to answer questions on character and setting. In Numeracy we are building our number knowledge further; orally to 30, ordering and counting forward/backwards within 20, missing numbers and multiplication and division. In Maths we are exploring symmetry and we are also recapping Time to ensure we are confident with o’clock and half past.
